My Summer Project Overseas

EDGE Project
EDGE Project

The summer is a very busy time for me. Aside from the family yoga and dance classes that I teach, I also head a non-profit organization, EDGE Project, that is based in Altea, Spain.

Every summer for the past seven years, I’ve dedicated my summers to running this program from our base in Europe and mentoring groups of mostly college aged kids, who desire to learn about cultural emersion and language while using art as a way to integrate into foreign society.

Having spend nearly 30 years living overseas with my family in Greece, Germany and Spain, culture, creative expression and faith are the crux of my life.

Not surprisingly, my personal form of creative expression is yoga and dance, which I have used around the world in an effort to get to know people and share in their lives and various cultures.

While EDGE in a year around commitment that takes me all along the West Coast to speak at a myriad of colleges, universities and churches, my summers are spend solely investing in this passion. In light of this, my yoga and dance classes at both the Encinitas YMCA and my Pearls For Life; Family Yoga studio are on a temporary hiatus until September.

Take this summer to continue to enjoy and teach your kids the principals of yoga: focus, relaxation, health and wholeness. I look forward to reconnecting with all of you in September.
