Summer Siesta

Arianna 3Many of you may not know that I live a bit of a double life – nothing scandelous, just really wonderful actually. My family and I have spent the majority of the last 30 years living in Europe and while I love being back in SoCal, a huge part of me still lives across the Atlantic.

Every summer I head a cultural, creative and faith-minded program called Edge Project that gives mostly college students the opportunity to live abroad in Spain for a few weeks, be a part of the culture, make friends and get out of their comfort zones.

This summer marks the 9th year that Edge Project has been experienced and probably our busiest, best and most exciting season to date.

So until September, I’ll be living in Altea, Spain and putting our Pearls For Life; Family Yoga classes on hold until I return.

What I want to leave you with is this: The power of memories.

This may seem a little odd, but what is so amazing about creating experiences with your family is that they live on forever, to be enjoyed over and over. When you do something that brings you happiness, you experience it then, first hand. But, it doesn’t end there. You can continue to revisit and experience the euphoria through your memories.

Enjoy this time. Enjoy your kids. Spend time exploring, living, creating, adventuring – experience true life with your kids and make memories this summer that you’ll carry with you always.

See you in September.
